Super Saiyan Transformations have been a staple of the Dragon Ball Super franchise for a long time. The emotional and dramatic build-up to every transformation has made the series popular all around the globe. With so many transformations, whether they are canon or not, it’s often hard to keep track of them. The addition of new transformations every series is ridiculous but fans have grown to love it. Aside from Super Saiyan Transformations, there are plenty more which we will not discuss today. So here is a list of all the Super Saiyan Transformations ranked from weakest to strongest.
Dragon Ball Super: All Super Saiyan Transformations Ranked
Regular Super Saiyan may seem weak compared to the other transformations but it is still one the greatest feats for Goku. He was the first Saiyan to ever achieve this mythical form. The death of Krillin at the hands of Frieza was enough to push Goku over the edge as he couldn’t control his emotions. The form multiplied his power by x50 just enough to defeat Frieza.
Ascended Super Saiyan
Also knows as Super Saiyan second grade, Ascended Super Saiyan is when a Saiyan pushes past his limits of the regular transformation. The form proved to be useless as it sacrifices a lot of speed for only a small amount of power. The form was stronger than imperfect Cell but was insignificant compared to Perfect Cell.
Super Saiyan Full Power
Super Saiyan Full power is the perfect version of the regular Super Saiyan. Goku and Gohan were able to master this transformation by staying in the form for extended periods of time. By doing this they were able to properly harness the great amount of energy released from the transformation.
Super Saiyan 2
Gohan was the first Saiyan to achieve Super Saiyan 2 during the Cell saga, very similar to how his father achieved it through emotional turmoil. The form is x100 the power of a base Saiyan making it roughly twice as strong as Super Saiyan 1.
Super Saiyan 3
Super Saiyan 3 may not have been the most perfect transformations but it was definitely strong. The form is x400 times stronger than base Saiyan meaning it is 4 times stronger than SSJ2. The greatest drawback of the form is its 100% utilization of physical stamina resulting in massive fatigue. This is one of the many reasons why the other Saiyan’s decided not to learn SSJ3.
